7 Tips to Start Seeing Results
As you all know, I’m on this kick lately to give you guys the best tips and tricks for the holidays because I am so freaking tired of holiday weight gain. This idea of a New Years Resolution is flawed in itself because it implies that you didn’t have those goals in the previous year. But what if we just stick to our clean eating goals throughout the holidays?? Wouldn’t that be way easier? I think so!
But, that’s easier said than done. The holidays are an emotional time of year, and they are inevitably associated with food binging and eating junk. It’s hard not to give into it when it’s all around you. That’s why I teamed up with Carbon 38 to give you 7 Tips to Finally See Results so that you can continue to feel motivated throughout the holiday season.

Now of course I’ve talked about meal prep before, and as many of you know, meal prep is an essential part of my 5 Day Detox App, but it can be difficult when you are running around to different holiday parties. My advice is this: chop up some hard vegetables, make some hummus and have one or two veggie protein sources ready, like lentils or beans. This sort of meal prep takes away the pressure of making full meals, while providing you healthy and nutritious snacks to have on hand when you’re in the mood to indulge.

This next tip is not any news to you all, I’ve written plenty about the importance of counting colors. But, you may not know that this is a great way to moderate yourself at a buffet-style dinner party. Try getting just one of each of the major color groups on your plates before adding any extras. This way you’ll avoid eating too many starches!
Working out tends to be the hardest part for a lot of people. I don’t know why, but for some reason working out often has tons of bad connotations, as if it’s a punishment. And don’t get me wrong, I totally understand the feeling of dreading a workout. But unfortunately this dreading feeling can become toxic, and is usually the reason we end up going weeks without working out, continuously promising to “start tomorrow”. That’s why it’s so important to find a workout you like and change your mindset about it. Repeatedly telling yourself that working out will make you feel good will change your attitude toward it overtime. This is a key in your long-term success.
AMEN. I don’t know about you guys, but I will ALWAYS be more grateful to be on this journey and struggling than to not be on it at all. Getting healthy is the best thing you can do for yourself, so enjoy the ride!
