Don't Gain Weight On Holidays… Eat This!
What do I eat when on holiday?
I just did this post on how to stay healthy while traveling, however I wanted to share specific things I enjoyed as I get so many questions on what my daily meals look like, how many I have throughout the day and quantities.
When I am at home and have a routine it’s easier to sit down and eat all three meals along with any snacks I need. I am prepared, have everything in the fridge ready to go and pretty much eat the same things each day, save when I make a new recipe for my website.
Now when you’re traveling it’s not quite the same! You wake up at different times, can’t control how food is made or how big the portions will be. For me, I’ve realized that I have a few choices when it comes to what I eat when I’m on holiday. People are always amazed that I don’t gain weight when I go away… this slightly surprises me because it means that most haven’t learned how to indulge but in moderation. By no means am I saying that I don’t have a few days while away that I eat everything in sight, get too drunk and don’t exercise. What I am saying though is I know how to balance it out with eating better on most days and really picking what I’m going to splurge on. Below are a bunch of my meals (that of course I photographed (!) from various restaurants in Europe).
