Favorite Ab Routine

IMG_4225The holidays are fast approaching, well okay, they are already in full effect and I am just like you… trying to maintain my  normal routine all the while enjoying the parties, friends, Thanksgiving festivities and more. So what do you do during these few weeks before the New Year where you hope to not vow to lose another x amount of weight?

Currently I’ve been trying to amp up my fitness to semi balance the food I’m eating (not necessarily bad, just tooo much!) and with that I’ve been focusing a lot of muscle building instead of cardio mainly because it helps to burn calories and fat.

The past few weeks I’ve been doing this ab routine.

Do each exercise for 30 seconds. Repeat it 3x and feel the burn.

Plank.

Side plank.

Bicycle crunch.

Mountain climbers.

V-crunches.

Russian twists with 10lb ball.

Shoes- Nike     Shorts- Nike     Sports Bra- Valleau Apparel

In total you do the exercises for 3 minutes and 9 minutes in total. Do this 4x a week to see tone and definition in your abs in no time at all. Forget about doing 500 crunches a night. You need to do exercises that target different areas of your abs to make those obliques show! And don’t worry about doing something every. single. day. By taking breaks and challenging different body parts of different days, you will allow your muscles to regenerate and come back stronger.

The goal is to feel the burn to the point where you almost can’t image it hurting any more. If 30 seconds isn’t hard enough, increase it to 60 seconds for each exercise to increase your reps.
