Live With Nikki- food prepping

As you all know, I’m doing the 5-day detox this week, oh boy oh boy is it needed! Last week was a bit of a crazy week, both in terms of work and also I had a lot of friends in town so I found myself having a few more drinks than I would normally like. That led me to being really ready to get my body cleansed and get back on track with working out by this past weekend. Having decided to undergo the detox, I also had a really great idea, which was to do Facebook Live videos all week.

These will focus on everything from meal prep (Live with nikki- meal prep) is the first one, followed by detoxing tips, raw versus cooked, and all my tips and tricks. I’m really excited to share these all with you this week. It’s a new thing for me and I personally find them more interesting than highly edited youtube vids. I’d love to know which ones you like more- FB videos or Youtube?

    Hi Nikki,
    I tried your 5 day detox before, well I got to 4 days. I felt great for doing it, but 2 things I really struggled with were; 1) salt, I am a big fan of it in my food (despite it not being great for you) and no matter how many other spices I used it still lacked the saltiness I craved.
    2) I am allergic to cauliflower, such a shame when cauliflower cheese ALWAYS smells amazing, and this is used a couple times throughout the week. Is there anything else I could substitute this for and get the same rice like stodginess that fills you up?

    I was thinking of doing the detox again, but for some reason the books have deleted off my iPhone. I was possibly going to download the app, but before I go ahead I wondered if you had any ideas for the above?

      Hi Leanne, for the cauliflower, just skip it and add in other veggies. Just replace with a extra broccoli, or anything on the list. If if calls for cauliflower, such as the sushi, you can do it without and just use quinoa, you can try it with blitzed carrots and steam them…. it’s all about trying new things 🙂 I would definitely recommend getting the book or app- it’s many new recipes, and the book as even more recipes to follow post detox 🙂 And for the salt, it really means you just need to continue not having it. It can be tough I know, the more you don’t have it the less you’ll want it xx

    Hi Nikki,

    I am starting your 5 days detox in 2 more days. I plan to meal prep the whole 5 days detox meal tommorow. My questions are…can i cook in advance all the boiled and stir fried menus and maintain thier freshness in the fridge for 5 days? Or i need to cook it right when the meal time?
