Merry Christmas my lovely friends!
This Christmas was extra special as I was back on my old stomping ground in Colorado. For the past few years I’ve spent Christmas in various places around the world, so it was really wonderful to be able to be back in Silverthorne with my mom and stepdad and experience a proper white Christmas.
Christmas Day we had friends over and had a delicious dinner that my mom had created. Normally I’m the one in the kitchen, so it was a nice change to be able to sit back and enjoy her cooking. I’m always asked what I eat, so I’ll give you a small rundown. My dinner consisted of brussels sprouts, sweet potato, and potato au gratin. I skipped the tenderloin and fish that everyone else had. So while I normally eat vegan, I’m not too strict with it and do occasionally eat meat and cheese, however I chose to stick with my veggies and felt really great about it.
Our night involved lots of delicious food, lots of wine, dancing, and amazing conversation. The following morning (Boxing Day for those of you who don’t live in the states) my mom, stepdad and myself took Bodie, their little fur ball, to Lake Dillion to walk him. It was fuh-reeeezing. I mean when I say cold, it was -1F. I managed to get a few awesome pics before my hands nearly fell off, which was totally worth it.
This Christmas has been such a wonderful time and I’m so thankful to have been able to spend it with friends and family both here in Silverthorne as well as going back to Boulder to see more friends.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!
