It’s getting mighty cold in LA and with that comes time for some thick, yet comfy clothes. I’m a huge fan of skinny jeans, heels and sweaters that can be layered to create a chic and luscious outfit. No matter where you live, the winter can be tough because it’s cold outside, warm indoors, and when the sun comes out {at least here in LA} it can get quite balmy; that’s why various layers are key for this time of year. It’s all about creating layers, or structure, to your outfit that is glamorous yet practical for your day, whether you are traveling, going to school, or heading around town.

I adore this sweater because it can be both a cardigan style top, as well as a jacket when you put a belt around the waist. Paired with some distressed jeans, suede boots, and we are talking! What makes this outfit pop though is the red lips, black glasses, blue purse and gold watch. It’s all about adding things that stand out on their own, yet when paired together can make your outfit look glam.

I love the quote by Coco Chanel saying, “The best color in the world is the one that looks good on you.” I feel that it’s important to find what looks good on your body, your skin tone, and what jewelry you enjoy in order to look amazing. Don’t worry what others think, it’s how you feel about your outfit and having confidence in your own choices.
