We all know how important it is to look after our skin, but with our busy schedules our skin is sometimes neglected. We have all been culprits to the cardinal sin of sleeping in our make -up at least once and some even more!! Here are some essential tips to keep those wrinkles at bay:

  • Drinks a lot of water
  • Sleep 7 hours minimum a night
  • Exercise regularly
  • Follow a good skincare routine (check out Nikki’s YouTube video
  • ALWAYS remove your makeup-before sleeping

Don’t be fooled by expensive beauty treatments, you can easily whip up some homemade concoctions that will be sure to nourish your skin, giving your skin a healthy glow.

3 Homemade recipes to follow:

1. Lemon rind and almond milk


  • 1 x Whole lemon zest
  • 1 cup Almond milk


  1. Zest a lemon (dry them out in the sun and then grind into a powder
  2. Store in an airtight container
  3. Mix it with the milk and use as pack on affected areas.
  4. Wash off with warm water only.
  5. Dab your skin dry with a face towel and apply moisturizer.

2. Tea water and honey face pack:


  • 1 cup of green tea water (cold)
  • 2 tbsp. of rice flour
  • ½ tbsp. of honey


  1. Mix all the ingredients together and apply to the skin. Leave for 20 mins.
  2. Remove mask by washing face – massage your skin in circular motions to remove dead skin and even the skin tone.
    1. Dab your skin dry with a face towel and apply moisturizer

The honey enriches the skin and the rice flour acts as a scrub


3. Turmeric and tomato face pack:


  • 1 tbsp. Turmeric 
  • 1 cup Tomato juice


  1. Mix turmeric with tomato juice
  2. Apply to face and allow to dry
  3. Wash your face with warm water and remove all of the mask
  4. Dab your skin dry with a face towel and apply moisturizer
